News Ancestors[]
It isn't clear how it started, but its most likely ancestors were the Big Nate Choose Your Own Adventure! comments by Dumb Smarto (which are NOT the comment section news). The news was officially called BNCSN and it was started by former wiki moderator Salty Byleth Main.
Early/Mid July[]
Then some users like Salty Byleth Main Trivia started posting long comments of current news in the comment section and called it Big Nate Comment Section News. Salty then decided to leave the big nate comments news because it was boring/exhausting. Then came the imposers.
Mid-Late July[]
Many people started copying salty in an effort to be noticed/popular/featured. It was very annoying because nobody could comment peacefully since the polls stopped. More and more people started "joining" it, but in the end it's just a shoutout from a random stranger pretending to be "entertaining". This was also when AhsokaLives started doing it and received a ton of hate. On August 19 he asked whether BNCSN should be continued and majority of the answers. And Boi Oh Boi...
Anyways, it got really popular, and seemed to continue forever until it vanished.
